It has been a year
Difficult to get through
Challenges have been many
And satisfaction is anew

Life has changed dramatically
A little piece at a time
Almost everything is different now
May even be called divine


The future appears to be promising
Things to look forward to every day
I cannot wait for tomorrow
Even if it cannot stay

Taking one day at a time
Using strength and perseverance
I will keep these happy thoughts
And defy all interference

You threw our love away

I was shaken to the core

Now it is no more

I trusted you with my life

Trying to be your wife

But all of your sin and sickness
Went and ruined everything

What made you so rotten
